About us
From the time our doors first opened in February 2013, we have concentrated our efforts on providing a warm, secure and nurturing cocoon within which children thrive and grow to their full potential. The unconditional care provided, while meticulously maintaining high health and safety protocols means Froebel’s Daycare now enjoys a reputation of trust with parents who want nothing less than the best for their children. To facilitate parents, we are open all year round and only close on government-announced holidays.

Our Commitment to care
Learning through play
We follow the philosophy of ‘Active Learning through Purposeful Play' which is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Studies prove that play is a necessary element of healthy development for children of all ages. It offers children the opportunity to learn about the self, others, and the physical environment (Catron & Allen, 2007). It encourages aspects of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development that cannot be achieved any other way. Children learn how to interact with their peers when engaged in play activities while also forming an understanding of how the real world works.
Some of the kinds of play that children in our daycare are involved in include role/fantasy play, constructive play (using building blocks), active/physical play (running, jumping, sports, dancing), creative play (using materials such as paint, playdough, shaving foam, etc.), sensory play and messy play. Children are given opportunities to experience playing solitarily, with friends, taking turns, sharing, playing side-by-side and even as spectators
Sensory & Experiential Learning
Before children learn to communicate using language, they interact with their surroundings by using their senses. As babies watch and listen to what goes on around them, they soon go from reflexive reactions to becoming more aware of and deliberate in their reactions to what they see, hear, touch, taste, and smell.Nurturing caregivers
Our caregivers are qualified and trained in early childhood development but more importantly these are ladies who absolutely love children and are passionate about laying the foundations for them to become happy, confident learners as well as caring human beings. We invest in our staff by providing them with regular focused trainings, which keep them engaged and motivated.
We believe that continuous professional development is key to ensuring that our caregivers are always accessing and implementing best approach to childcare and hygiene standards while facilitating children’s progress in the social, emotional, intellectual, speech and language and physical domains, including development of their fine and gross motor skills.
Stringent safety standards
Our goal is for the children in our care to feel happy, safe and excited about exploring, creating and learning something new every single day. The safety of each child is of paramount importance for us and we have taken every precaution to ensure that the facility has been childproofed. All our staff members have received first-aid training and are very vigilant.
